Student Growth
Using IXL, The Education Project is able to track student diagnostic growth to validate the effectiveness of our tutoring process. At the beginning and end of every quarter (3 months), IXL diagnostic levels are evaluated to determine student growth. Some results are shown below.
Broadleaf Primary School
In Spring and Fall 2025, we provided weekly tutoring on Saturday mornings to 5-10 students. Students showed significant growth in average IXL Math Diagnostic scores between January and December of 2025, increasing from 254 to 350.



Keyser Elementary School
Over the course of the summer program, students practiced a total of 66 math skills and 56 ELA skills. Of those, they became proficient in 30 math skills and 29 ELA skills, and mastered 25 skills in each subject. On average, students became proficient in nearly 8 new skills per week, demonstrating steady academic engagement and consistent progress throughout the summer partnership.
On average, each student practiced approximately 1.57 math skills and 1.33 ELA skills per day. Of those, students achieved proficiency in 0.71 math skills and 0.69 ELA skills per day, and mastered about 0.6 skills daily in both subjects!
